Dear Ilan Pappe. Your case only proves the absolute necessity to organize a public committee in defense of the democratic rights of all of us who oppose the criminal actions of this state. We have been raising this call for a united front committee in defense of our democratic rights for the last few months but so far of no avails. The right wing wants to silence all of us: University?s teachers, Journalists, Members of Parliament, Lawyers, rank and file left wing activists. This is indeed a witch-hunt in the best tradition of Joseph McCarty. This witch -hunt goes on in many countries.This is the capitalist response to the crisis of the imperialist system. As you many know we are part of an international tendency that has some real support among the masses in some countries. The only thing that will stop the right wing is a huge campaign in this country and around the world. Let us organize such a committee with the line: An injury to one is injury to all. You should set an example and be on this committee .It should include Amira Hass, Gidon Levi, Gidon Sperio, Tania Rinardt, Ahoron Shabti ,Jacob Katirel, members of Paliament and others left wing org. Like Abnai-a- Balad, Balad, Hadash, SOcialist strugle,The Muslims,ourselves. We should appeal to members of Parliament, trade unions and other mass organizations around the world.
