Israel has indeed committed war crimes.
Just read the UN statements alone:
185 ambulances shot, 7 ambulance drivers and doctors killed, 120 wounded. That alone is a war
crime. But the list goes on and on.
One thing is certain, this last incursion will finally
put an end to the myth of Israel's touted "purity of
arms" once and for all. This myth has been
thoroughly repudiated.
I take my hopes from the people around the world,
including Jews and Israelis, who are steadfastly
opposed to the occupation and to Ariel Sharon's
genocidal policies.
Sharon hasn't yet offered up anything that sounds
the slightest like a peace plan. Israeli columnists
ask what his plan is. You only need look at his
past behavior to predict this: continued punishment
of the Palestinian people, continued occupation,
continued expansion of the settlements, continued destruction of Palestinian infrastructure and political
systems. Eventually, ethnic cleansing or permanent
prison cities and refugee camps.
