We still do not know how to measure personlity. Reliebilty(reliable test is a test that give the same score when one particular person is tested more than once) is not a problem. We do have reliable tests.The problem is in validity(a valid test is a test that measure what it suppose to measure). However, personalities are not static. They change as individuals acquire new experiences.Having said this, it is still important to search for reliable and valid tests that can assist in guiding people toward choosing the proper career or profession. Parents can play an important role in discovering early talents in musical, artistic and motor abilities. Low scores in these areas in tests produced by experts should not discourage parents. We should trust the judjment of wise parents. Does this imply that peots and musians and journalists are born, not made? The answer is no.Existing conditions play a major role in our chioces. Sometimes they determine our chioces.However, they do not wipe out early talents. Talents contain within them selves many abilities. People with skills in adaptability can still find them selves in the proper places. A person can succeed in many positions. The conditions limit the scope of chioces and the level of success.In some failing societies there are very limited chioces.But the problem here has to do more with adaptibility. Modern man and woman lost this adaptablity skills. Consider the diversity of activities women and men performed in the old days. We are far behind. Why this is the case? The school and the family and the state, particularly in the Third World, have failed to prepare for the work force. Some ignorant people are now occupied with the idea that we live in the last days. They are assasinating the future and are running away from real issues.The work force every where will be reduced due to the nature of economy and the absence of adaptability and the expilotation of talents.Many see job stability as a thing of the past because most talents is waisted. Instability is bad. It makes goverenment occupied with criminals at the expense of building for the future.The war on terror is not like a conventional war.It can offer no economic solutions. It makes the environemnt not safe for investiment and in the end in circle it breeds more potential criminals.We would rather see investigations and studies in the ministries of labor to energize the work force and seek remedies and proposals pracrical. I do not know a single name of a minister of labor.They never talk . I do not hear about them in the news, as if they do not exist. Perhaps, some of them were appionted by accidents or connections and have nothing to do with labor.though since I do not know any one of them I certainly know not about thier background.Today with tecknology and communication revoloutions careers are drasticly changing.The lines between local and global are disapearing.Societies that are arleady behind may not be able to adjust to a stage that is far a head of them.Coping with fast changes is difficult with no preparation,no plans and no investiment and no stability .The problem of interst in jobs and chice is too complex to be covered in this hasty article. add your comments
