Urgent appeal from Nablus by Citizens of Nablus 9:05pm Sat Feb 22 '03 We the citizens of the old city of Nablus, numbered close to 50,000 inhabitants, are calling upon the world community to do what it takes to stop this Israeli terror & destruction campaign against our homes. print article For the past five days and the Israeli Occupation forces have been on a terror rampage that resulted (so far) in the murder of 6 unarmed civilians*, the injuries of over 45 unarmed civilians*, and the kidnapping of over 60 others. So far, dozens of stores, schools, mosques, plazas and homes were bombed, bulldozed, destroyed, and stormed under the pretext of searching for "wanted"ׂ persons in the old city of Nablus. The city's Greco-Roman old fragile structures are in danger of total collapse, that if the Israeli army continues on its barbaric attacks. We the citizens of the old city of Nablus, numbered close to 50,000 inhabitants, are calling upon the world community to do what it takes to stop this Israeli terror & destruction campaign against our homes. Our children have been terrorized a round the clock (as we speak), our sick are not allowed medical access & left to face certain death, even our dead are not allowed to be buried! Let alone our loved ones are been led away, by soldiers, to undisclosed locations. For almost a year, and the Israeli Occupation Forces have not let up their daily terror, murder, and destruction campaign in our beloved city. We are demanding an international protection force to protect our lives, property, and future from this state sponsored terrorism. After all, we are un protected civilians deserve to live in peace, liberty, and freedom in accordance to all international laws, treaties, and norms; Therefore, what is taking place in Nablus, and elsewhere across the Palestinian territories, is the sole responsibility of the world^ׂs community, and there are no justifications for the world to sit idle watching our women & children butchered on the hands of the Israeli murderous machine: the so-called IDF! add your comments
